Follow Up. If you had a fantastic time then call your date the next day, or even the same night if you can't resist (but not if its like 4am in the morning lah... people need sleep and you don't want to sound like a stalker). Don't do the waiting game and wait for the second date. Try to set it up as soon as you can. There is a Chinese saying in this "hit the iron while its hot!". If your date decline your offer, then at least you know where you stand and plan from there.
DEAD CAT!! Its like all hardened with legs facing the side. Medically its called vigor mortis in which the muscles contract on the time of death. As a result you see this harden posture. No idea how it died there but it definitely did not look like a pleasant one. It was also all bloated up with flies all over. Good thing no maggots yet.
Woot! Its dating time!
Eye contact. Another big point. When talking to your date, please keep eye contact and not look at the ceiling or your cup of latte. You will look like a dumbass trying to serenade the cup or whatever your looking at. Also try to smile when possible (but not too much lah or your date might think your a 24/7 smiling nut case from tanjung rambutan) as it gives a more relaxing atmosphere.
Many of us fall into this distinct category called "single". There could be many reasons for this. For the young its the coming of age and for the not so young (like me lah), it could be circumstances.

The origins of this festival can be traced back to the Yin and Yang philosophy of balance and harmony in the cosmos. After this celebration, there will be days with longer daylight hours and therefore an increase in positive energy flowing in. The philosophical significance of this is symbolized by the I Ching hexagram fu (復, "Returning").
Traditionally, the Dongzhi Festival is also a time for the family to get together. One activity that occurs during these get togethers (especially in the southern parts of China and in Chinese communities overseas) is the making and eating of Tangyuan(湯圓, Cantonese jyutping: tong1 jyun2; Mandarin : Tāng Yuán) or balls of glutinuous rice, which symbolize reunion. Tangyuan are made of glutinuous rice flour and sometimes brightly coloured. Each family member receives at least one large Tang Yuan in addition to several small ones. The flour balls may be plain or stuffed. They are cooked in a sweet soup or savoury broth with both the ball and the soup/broth served in one bowl.
In northern China, people typically eat dumplings on Dongzhi. It is said to have originated from Zhang Zhongjing in the Han Dynasty. On one cold winter day, he saw the poor suffering from chilblains on their ears. Feeling sympathetic, he ordered his apprentices to make dumplings with lamb and other ingredients, and distribute them among the poor to keep them warm, to keep their ears from getting chilblains. Since the dumplings were shaped like ears, Zhang named the dish "qǜ hán jiāo ěr tāng" or dumpling soup that expels the cold. From that time on, it has been a tradition to eat dumplings on the day of Dongzhi.
Few weeks back, I was having coffee with a friend and his gf. He is a hunk in every way. Runs his own business, works out at the gym 4-5 times a week, perfect complexion, 6 foot tall and a humorous personality. His gf? A 360 degree difference, she is heavy sized, just an ordinary girl. Nevertheless, they are surely a loving couple. A living testimony that looks ain't everything. He always say this in front of me, "xxx is perfect in every way, with her I feel complete". That's definitely words of contentment. Alas, that was just a glimmer of hope in this materialistic world in which appearance is still the centre stage for many people's mind.
As Christmas is just a stone's throw away, many would be anticipating the coming Christmas presents that they would be getting. Last year was a pretty good year for me. Had about 8-10 pressie's and most of them were things that I liked.
4th on my wish list would be a magnanimous one. Everyday I read wars being let loose, killers on a killing spree and many more unwanted crimes that is causing mankind to suffer. I know many is of our own doing and to a certain extent we do really ask for it but I would really hope that you being the generous person you are would grant me this wish.... world peace. So starting the 25th December 2007, we will no longer need to worry about wars, innocent human beings being killed, suicide bombers, kidnaper's, serial murders and all other unwanted crime. I know its a really big wish to ask from you but i do hope you will grant it for me and also for all mankind. This way I will be able to spend my money peacefully without worrying about others harassing me or trying to do harm to me. You know how it is at the moment, the second they know you are rich they will think of ways to kidnap you for money and other sick and sinister plots.
