A New Dawn

A new Era has dawned in Malaysian politics. The poll results for the 12th general election caught many with their pants down. I am sure this includes both the Government and the Opposition parties. Never have the voice of Malaysians been so loud. The people wanted change and a big change have happened.

In parliament with 219 out of the 222 seats counted, the opposition have won 82 seats. This denies the government 2/3rd majority in parliament.

The opposition took control of 5 states namely Penang (DAP majority), Kedah (Pas majority), Kelantan (Pas majority), Perak (Dap majority) and Selangor (PKR majority). Mainstream media was so obsessed with Kelantan and Terenganu that no one saw 4 BN stronghold falling to the opposition.

Now the tough part begins, Malaysians have spoken, lets see pledges being promised fulfilled.
