If you are not staying there, you will have to pay RM18 per person as you drive up the so called "tol gate" (yup its that expensive).
For those that haven't heard of this place before, its our Malaysian version of a French village. Its suppose to be modelled after the 16th Century Colmar Village in Alsace, France.
As we approach the resort, we were greeted with the "castle drawbridge" at the entrance. There is also a moat below the bridge where you can see 2 black and 2 white swans (yup... just a pair each). Nothing special down there to be honest.
Other places of attraction inside the village include the square's fountain, wishing well, viewing tower and the few french-themed restaurant.
This other "castle" is located opposite the "draw bridge". Its a multi-purpose hall used for weddings and other functions
Word of warning. The food there suck! I do not recommend you have lunch there. Maybe a light snack. The money that you pay up there is not worth the food that they are giving you. Trust me.
All in all it was fun with the crowd that I went with. Do not get your hopes too high since its nothing as great as what it was advertised for.

Haha, this is the second time I saw someone blog and said "The food sucks."
The restaurant manager will pull his hair if he read this entry.
It really did suck. Big time
Ptui! Ptui! Ptui!
looks western. sure wud love to visit one day! is it new?
I don't think its new. At least a few years. I stayed there last year. To be honest the fixture and fittings of the rooms are pretty run down and old. So do not expect any 4 star luxury when you are there. My advice would be, if you plan on staying and doing just sight seeing then 1 day will do. If you want to chill then at most 2 days.
many years ago, i kept urging my friends to go. finally they went, but i didn't ;) it was at least 7-8 years ago.
nowadays, i heard it's pretty expensive to go. maybe should say, the money doesn't worth it. so i cheekily tell myself, i wanna go to the real france instead of bkt tinggi!!! haha..
haan,
Yeah it is pretty expensive there. A way to save cost would be to pack your own food. They do allow you to do that there.
Its more like a preview of France. At least you would then have an idea of how a french village would be like :P
Ironically, I've been to france 4 times and never had I step foot in a french hamlet. I was only confined within Paris.
prepare good ol maggie mee :P
go travel off the beaten track, man!!
