Speeding Bus Driver Caught In The Act

Was driving along the highway today and realized a bus speeding past me. Obviously he was driving way above the speed limit.

I increased my speed up to about 160km/h and I could still hardly catch up. That was when I took out my N95 and started taking video of the incident. I think the bus driver must have realised me taking a video of him since soon afterwards he drastically reduced his speed way below the speed limit.

After tailing for around 5 minutes, I overtook him and the bastard actually waved at me as I pass him.

This crazy bastard really have no care for the lives that he is carrying.

Anyways, here's the video of what transpired.

The Nipple Song

I was browsing through PamSong's Blog today and saw this youtube. Apparently this is an old video.

Its super funny I tell ya. A must see if you have not seen it already.

A typical example that language can really cross barriers.

Kenko Reflexology & Fish Spa

Went to Pavillion last Sunday and made my way to level 5 of the complex. Why?
Reason : Kenko Reflexology & Fish Spa

Some of you might wonder what-the-fish is a fish spa?

Well to put it simply. Its a spa in which you dip your feet into water filled with fishes known as "Garra Rufa" or widely known as "Doctor Fish"

And whats this "Garra Rufa"?

Its a fish that occurs naturally in the waters of hot spring near Kangal in Turkey's Sivas Province. Locals found that the fish would peck away at the dead and disease skin of bathers, easing the symptoms of those suffering from skin conditions such as psoriasis and abscesses.

So how does it feel like being attacked by dozens of fish eating away them dead skins on your feet? Extremely ticklish!! I spent the first 10 minutes giggling. But rest assured that I was not the only one. Many around me was giggling and laughing as well.

I am Sooooo DEAD................

TIRED!!

Yesterday was one of those once in a very blue moon days in which I stayed up till 6.30am watching Chinese Drama on youtube.

It started when a friend of mine sent me this link. It was episode 5 of Survival's Law 2 (TVB Drama) . From that point on I got hooked and watched like a zombie right till episode 17 (at one go). Emotions also got the better of me and I actually needed some tissue in between some episodes.

This is one reason I hate drama's. They just zapped the living daylights out of me.

Once I start its hard for me to stop........

Amature MV : Kuala Kangsar

As I was preparing pictures for my next blog regarding Kenko Fish Spa, I got a sms from a friend about an MV that they made on our hometown. I was like.... ehhhh? Make a song of our hometown for what? Damn malu'fying lah.... its such a small town!!.

Anyways, i clicked on the youtube link to see what its all about.

Not bad for a first try I thought.

Woot... a MV of my hometown wei!

Good Happiness, Low Yat Plaza

I went to Low Yat today for lunch. Instead of Causeway Bay, which is the regular Hong Kong ("char charn teng" in Cantonese) style eating place that i normally frequent, I decided to give Good Happiness a try. This place is located at the ground floor of Law Yot Plaza

First impression wasn't a really good one. Simply because there wasn't many people there eating. Normally if there is a lot of patrons then it would be a sure bet that the place would be pretty good. Nevertheless I decided to go try it out anyway, there is always a first time for everything right?

I sat there for like 5 minutes and there is no one attending my table. I was like "WTF! there is not many people eating and waiters standing chatting to each other... hello? I am here to eat... pass me the god damn menu please?". After some frantic waiving finally someone came to our table with the menu.

If you think the service is the only thing that is bad, wait till I tell you the next part.

Had a look at the menu... "WTx2F!! half of the menu is full of X mark next to it. Wei... this shop is going to close shop izzit? How come half the menu is no longer available?" (No pics taken of the menu as I was already in a state of shock).

Again the waiter took his time to come take our order.

Since M and I already had lunch earlier, they only had drinks and I only ordered a Prawn Fried Rice.

Now here's another rant. The rice arrived 10 minutes before the drinks. WTx3F!!, is there any place that give food before drinks??

The food though was acceptable for my standards.

Oh noes! The service is so crap that we can't even show our faces!

So the verdict? I would not recommend anyone going there.

P.S Thanks M & I for being there when i really needed the company today. Really appreciate it lots

Boo Sighting

The other day I was telling NaeBoo of my Boo sighting as I was driving along Ipoh. I did not had an opportunity to take a picture of it since I was driving. So today, on my way back from KL, I drove into Ipoh, parked my car at the road side and took a picture of my Boo Sightings.

Have you found a Boo sighting of your own lately??

A Case Of Self Censorship

As you know, most chat boxes censor some words deemed unsuitable for view. In my case the cb I chat in don't have such feature so in other words, everything goes.

Here is a case of censorship (or should i say self induced censorship) happening in a non-censored chatbox.

Disclaimer : The below conversation contains extreme vulgarities. If your not comfortable then stop reading now.

Fly Me To The Moon - Olivia Ong

You know how powerful music is in which it can bring forth sudden memories from the past and give you a true emotional rush?

Been going through blogs and surfing the net when I stumbled upon this great song from Olivia Ong. Sudden flashbacks came haunting like a quick thunderstorm. I just cannot help myself from listening to the song a few more times while following every word and every tune.

For tonight I truly miss what has gone.

Fly me to the moon
And let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars

In other words hold my hand
In other words darling kiss me

Fill my life with song
And let me sing forevermore
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore

In other words please be true
In other words I love you

Dim Sum At Restaurant Kanthan Kim Kee

Last Sunday morning was again family day for me. We decided to go to one of our regular Dim Sum place before heading to Ipoh for some shopping. To those that think Ipoh has one of the best Dim Sum in Perak, you better think again. I think this place is better especially if you are not into anything special in terms of selections.

Restoran Kanthan Kim Kee is located at a small than called Kanthan. To get there from Ipoh, you will have to take Jalan Kuala Kangsar to Chemor (its the same road you take to go to Sungai Siput). Once you reach Chemor, drive for another 5 minutes and you should spot the restaurant on your right.

The "har quen" is especially yummy

The dim sum served here are of large proportions. If you are used to eating dim sum at places like Ming Court in Ipoh, you would be glad to know that the dim sum here are about 40% bigger. I would definitely recommend you ordering their "har gau", "siu mai", "har quen" and Hong Kong "chu cheong fun". Its really pretty good for my standards.

From left : "siu mai", "har mai" and "har gao"

Price is also very reasonable here. We had 16 dishes and it only cost us RM52.10

Definitely worth a try if your around the area.

*burp*

The Day That The Lion Came Visiting

Every year, its sort of like a routine that our local Chinese school lion dancers would come to my outlet to "wong" (bring luck) my business for the year ahead. Its not like I am superstitious but its been a routine for me ever since the school approached me for donation by way of lion dancing a few years back.

For those that may not be sure what's the significance of the lion dance, here is a short introduction.

The lion is a sacred animal, not to be confused with the well known predator that stalks the savannas of Africa. Here we are talking of the imaginary, holy animal, that has its own place among the divine creatures. Of course the lion has a spot that is much lower than the gods, but nonetheless, it is a bringer of luck and good fortune.

Generally, the lion dance is used to bless. When performed well the lion dance chases away evil spirits, and so opens the door for all good things: health, happiness, wealth and prosperity.

So here came the lion dancers from the front door, peeled the 2 mandarin oranges that i placed underneath the ang pow and finally left my outlet with the traditional 3 bows.

Hope business will continue to do well for me this year......

Our PM Interviewed by CNN

I stumbled upon this video of our PM being interviewed "live" by CNN. This interview took place during the Davos World Economic Conference.

After watching this video one can deduce a few things from our PM.

1) He truly embraces Agriculture as claimed (He looked like a bloody farmboy from the British Colony)

2) When you ask him about chicken, he will answer you something about ducks (he got no idea how to handle a live interview).

One thing our PM did admirably was making life tough for the CNN newscaster. He gave such mind boggling answers that even the CNN guy can't think of anything to reply back!

Pangkor Island

For the third year, me and my entourage of 20+ strong aunties, uncle, cousins and maids spent CNY at Pangkor Island. This is our yearly family get together for god knows how many years.

Anyways, for those that have not heard of the island, Pangkor is an island off the coast of Perak. To get there, you will need to head to the town of Lumut and take a forty minutes ferry ride to the island.

For the past 3 years, we lodged at Sea View Hotel which is located at Pasir Bogak. Its a cozy little chalet type resort owned by the once great badminton player Dato' Tan Yee Kan. There is nothing really fancy here, just your basic room with air-conditioning.

To be honest, there is not much you can do in the island. There are some sights to see around the island such as the Dutch Fort at Teluk Gudang and the Fu Lin Kong Temple (you can see the mini Great Wall of China there). You can either rent a bicycle or a motorbike as if you want to explore the island.

But since this is our 3rd year here, we virtually spent the whole 3 nights and 4 days at the hotel. The aunties would be playing mahjong or just lazing around and us cousins would spend most of the time at the pool. Me on the other hand spent most of my time playing Big 2 with my cousins.

At approx. 6pm (daily), chopped papaya's would be place at the front of the beach front restaurant for the hornbills. This has been the second year running that they have started this "tourist attraction". Apparently the owner found a group of hornbills feeding at the garbage that they threw away at the backyard and decided to use it as a way to attract more business.

To be honest, the beaches here is nothing to shout about. Its not very clean and don't expect to see anything if you do plan to swim. I would recommend the pool instead.

If you are interested in watersports, one can also do some canoeing, banana boat and jetsky at the beach. I didn't bother doing any of them this time round since I was busy trying to make some pocket money on Big 2.

Oh yeah, for those wondering whats the island that you are looking at now? Thats Pangkor Laut Resort, a private island owned by YTL. A very good place to go for couples in my opinion.

Oh My Brother.... How Painful Can That Be!

Notice : This is another old draft I picked up from my long list of unfinished post.

Encountered a very painful morning today.

My sister was in a rush this morning cause she was late for my car service appointment. Not knowing which one was the service log book, she threw the whole stack of booklets at me to find it for her while i was actually still half asleep with my blanket still up my neck.

Guess where it hit me...................................?Ouch!!

What a morning to start my day eh?

A story about Suhaimi

New years eve, was driving from home to Lumut to catch the boat to Pangkor Island. During that time this memorable conversation occurred.

Me : Sis called, she said not many people are at the jetty today.
Dad : Business must be bad then. This is all caused by Suhaimi.
Me : (looking puzzled). How come Suhaimi causing bad business?
Dad : Because of Suhaimi everyone don't want to travel to Pangkor now.
Me : (still puzzled). Why would that be the case?
Dad : Of course, since the Suhaimi, people don't like traveling to islands anymore.
Me : (Laughing) That's Tsunami NOT Suhaimi dad
Dad : (grins) Oh... izzit? Suhaimi must be that Umno politician then.

Locate your friends anywhere with Mobile Phone GPS Tracking Technology

Found this really neat website that can detect your friends anywhere in the world as long as the country has GSM technology. All you need to do is key in the persons phone number and the country that he is currently staying.

Its a really neat technology in which by using repeater triangulation, the system tracks mobile phones using GPS and GSM technology.

To be honest, I guess no one is now safe...

Here's the website if you want to try it out http://www.planetcreation.co.uk/sat-gps/

Do give me feedback on my comment on how well it worked for you.

I tested on a friend earlier and I could locate him while he was tracking at a nearby forest reserve. Simply amazing!

The Tree Top Walk Sungai Sedim

*This is a weekend trip that I did sometime back that I thought would be interesting to share. Another one of my never ending drafts*

I was told by a nature loving friend about this remote part of Kedah that hides one of of the country's best spot for white water rafting. But the part that caught my ear was the fact that this location is also where the longest tree top walk in the world is located.

Getting There
To get there you first hit the North South Expressway and head towards Kulim. Once you reach Kulim, drive through Kulim High Tech Park. From the modern complexes and factories, the scene soon changes to that of villages with huts having wooden and brick combination. Moving further, you will soon reach a place called Karangan. From there just follow the signboard to Sungai Sedim Tree Top Walk. From here be ready to expect kampung roads that are windy and bumpy dirt roads. I was practically wondering if i was in the right direction as signboards are not present till a bit further along the journey. Nevertheless you will eventually arrive at Sungai Sedim once you see the signboard "Sungai Sedim Recreation Forest".

Photo's taken along the walkway

General Info
The Sungai Sedim Walkway measures 925 metres long and is about 50 metres high. Its walkway are firm and does not move from left to right as you walk along it. So even a grandma would be safe walking along the walkway. Nevertheless, for those scared of heights, this attraction is not for the faint-hearted as a peep down might make you a bit dizzy.
For those interested in going, the walkway opens daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm with an entrance fee of RM10 for adults and RM6 for children.

Pretty high don't you think? Not!! its in mm lah

Another Random Picture along The Walk
