The Ingenious Cameraman

Went to a wedding today. As usual its one of those boring weddings with you sitting there doing nothing the whole night.

The highlight of the night was actually not the bride and groom but the cameraman that was filming the whole event. Just shows how ingenious one can be in their work.

My first impression was, "what the hell is a switch doing hanging on his belt?". He seems to be using it to charge his camera. Pretty good idea but i would have thought having a couple of spare battery would have done the trick.

What If God Was One Of Us

A friend sent me this song during one of our usual msn conversations. This is definitely one of the many favourite songs of mine by Alanis Morissette.

Lyrics is definitely a very powerful tool to bring forth one's thinking of the mind and soul. Alanis is one such great artist in which her lyrics are real captivating and gives a real insight of topics of the mind.

Alanis Morissette - What If God Was One Of Us

If God had a name what would it be?
And would you call it to his face?
If you were faced with him in all his glory
what would you ask if you had just one question?

Yeah, Yeah, God is great
Yeah, Yeah, God is good
Yeah Yeah yeah yeah yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home

If God had a face
What would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and Jesus and the saints
and all the Prophets

Yeah Yeah God is great
Yeah Yeah God is good
Yeah Yeah yeah yeah yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
Just trying to make his way home
Back up to Heaven all alone
Nobody callin' on the phone
cept for the Pope maybe in Rome

Yeah Yeah God is great
Yeah Yeah God is good
Yeah Yeah yeah yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
Like a holly Rolling Stone
Back up to Heaven all alone
Just trying to make his way home
Nobody callin' on the phone
'cept for the Pope maybe in Rome

Live and Love............

24/11/2007 1.23am

My mind just can't seem to want to go to bed so I woke up and went online. As i was browsing aimlessly on the net, my eyes caught an old link from my long list of addresses bookmarked in my browser. Its an old blog from a dear friend..... the last and final post just blew my mind off for a second.

I won't be linking the blog as I know the original author would not like it to be known.

Nevertheless I wish to share this read with all of you..........

"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.

You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.

So take as many pictures, laugh as much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin."

Farewell My Trusty Charlie........

Today is truly a sad day for me. After 8 years in service, my trusty Charlie has passed on. Throughout his years of service, he has never once complained and not had the job done for me. So the moment i was told this office that he was no longer able to do his work properly, I knew he should move on. In fact, for the past months many of my suppliers have complained about his quality of service but I kept ignoring them as I have depended on him for so long.

Oh yeah, i forgot to introduce Charlie to everyone here. He is my trusted fax machine.....

Nevertheless knowing that work comes first I quickly ordered a new one. I now designate her as "Jane". Hope she will last as long as Charlie.

Sun Kong Restaurant

Under a friends invitation, I went to the small village of Sauk (about 30 minutes drive off the town of Kuala Kangsar, Perak - its a small junction off the road leading to Gerik). This used to be quiet town which consist mostly of rubber estates has now turned to a heaven for freshwater fish eateries. The fish is mainly sourced from the lake formed by the Chenderoh Dam which has so far been abundant with large amount quality fish (I wonder for how long though).

I was there to sample a big catch that the restaurant owner recommended to a friend of mine. I was told that its a big "pak sou kung" or river catfish. A big catch i think would be an understatement. We were only served half of the fish head and it was enough to feed 9 of us (of course we also had other dish as well).

The catch was 12kg in weight! Apparently the restaurant was also featured in one of our local Chinese papers.

Twin Banana's

So here I was sitting in my office on a boring Thursday morning and as I was in the midst of my regular msn chatting routing, one of my staff showed me something interesting. Its a pair of banana's that's stuck together (Incidentally this reminded me of a video that I was watching with a dear friend sometime back which was really hilarious also about banana's).

Anyway since its not everyday that we can see such a sight, I have decided to share this wonderful insight with all of you.

As you turn the banana.... lo & behold..............

The First Chinese Song That I Learnt To Sing

This is the first ever Chinese song that I learnt to sing back during my college days. Its by Alex To called "wu xing xiang hai" or directly translated as "no heart to hurt you". Alex To in my opinion virtually introduced the R&B genre to the Chinese market in the 80's way before David Tao, Li Hom and all the rest of the R&B kids.

Those that knows me well enough would know that I am those typical banana man that can't read Chinese (although i can speak Cantonese and enough mandarin for basic communication). So you can imagine me scribbling the pronunciation in paper while listening to the song over and over again till my ears go red.

Oh yeah and I do have a song book in my room which consist of loose papers stacked together with songs that I have learnt and written in my own English pinyum. Nevertheless, I am those typical bathroom singers that sings like a toad. So you will not see me singing at K's anytime soon... unless insanity hits me on those once in a blue moon.

P.S Oh yeah.... actually I did go to K not too long ago. It was loads of fun with me and others taking turns singing badly and skipping songs as we see fit.....

Insanely Me

A new beginning for my blogging world

This would be like my 3rd attempt on blogging. Hopefully this last longer then my defunct two.
